OVERVIEW
I have no gripe with Microsoft Teams
I have a gripe with the users of Microsoft Teams. A common complaint is when someone sends you a message that says 'Hey.' And then never continue what they want. What do you want, Lisa?? Just tell me in one sentence so I can give you the work you need.
I usually say, 'Hey, can you do x and x?' Thanks!
Concise and clear.

PROBLEM
People say "hey" and that's it. Leaving individuals with anxiety for many, at times, hours.
Clearly, it's an issue (screenshot of a comment section from a tiktok referencing teams)

Current recieving-end user's journey when someone says "Hey."

SOLUTIONS
How can we combat this atrocious problem?
Due to not being able to send people to communication lessons, we will have to look at technological assistance.

INTERNAL STRUGGLE
The company itself having 2 sides.
A person, who happens to share my name, I don't know them, but I sure like them, provided a suggestion. Much like emails, could we give an option to add a subject to messages? Or have our good friend AI, take a peek at the message?
USER RESEARCH
Approx 5000+ users agree with the issue of messaging without a follow-up message.
Progressive Disclosure & Simplification (2024 - Current) Variant 2

Transparency in designs and content/price
Removal of green ticks

BEST: Tool-tip design

Slightly passive aggressive: Pop-up modal

Sabateour: unclickable (try for yourself)

Personal note: People tend to forget that this is not a face-to-face conversation. You don't need to wait for the other person to respond. Its basically a faster version of an e-mail.
